Sheldon Dawson, Freelance Illustrator

Sheldon balances both a successful career as a freelance illustrator and a long-standing commitment to produce and exhibit fine art that explores his own personal vision.

His illustration style ranges from fanciful animal characters created for children’s picture books such as “Do Unto Otters” to historically accurate representations of Canadian history for textbooks such as “The Buffalo Hunters” and “The Métis Nation”.

Although specializing in books, Sheldon also illustrates games, puzzles, posters, calendars and greeting cards.
